Jim McManus Following the Plot

In 2000 Jim McManus came to Las Vegas to write an article about the World Series of Poker. In the end he did a bit more than that--he won entry to the Main Event and made an incredible run to the Final Table, finishing 5th the year that Chris Ferguson defeated T.J. Cloutier for the World Championship. And McManus turned that experience and other research and reporting about Vegas into the bestseller "Positively Fifth Street".

McManus is now working on a book called "The History of Poker", which is due to be published in 2009. And maybe he'll find a way to involve himself in another of his books by making some poker history himself...say, by winning today's $5,000 No-Limit Hold-Em event. With only 5,300 in chips Jim has some work to do...but that would just make the story more compelling, wouldn't it?
