Mike Swick Leaves 'Em Limping

You don't see many family pots in the World Series of Poker but in a hand that had eight, EIGHT limpers, UFC fighter Mike Swick won a big pot when he had two players call his 1,000 bet on the {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop and his 2,000 bet after the {A-Clubs} on the turn, before they submitted to his 3,000 bet when the {7-Hearts} hit on the river. Swick now has 22,400.

All Seif all the Time

We're not trying to give Mark Seif extra coverage, but he seems to be involved in every huge hand. In our latest installment of the Seif files, the flop came {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. Seif checked, a third player checked, and Alan Le (brother of Nam Le - and boy does he look like him) bet out 1,100. Seif raised to 2,500 and the third player moved all in for 9,100 more.

Seif decided he had had enough, and folded. The hands were turned over.

Opponent {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Le {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Le's set of threes held up, and he is now over 45,000 in chips.

Early Dinner

There's apparently an issue that needs to resolved before we start up again so the players have been sent to dinner early. We'll resume play at 8:45 p.m. PDT.

Phil Hellmuth Has Been Eliminated

After a player in early position raised to 1,600, Phil Hellmuth moved all-in for 2,700 more on the button. The other player made the call and Hellmuth turned over his trademark pocket Nines. "Well, I've got an overcard," his opponent said as he showed {10-Spades}{8-Spades}.

The flop of {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} seemed to bode well for Phil, but the {K-Spades} on the turn gave his opponent a flush draw. And that's what did Hellmuth in -- the {2-Spades} on the turn that gave his opponent the flush and ended Phil's day.
