Joe Hachem Doubles Up

Joe Hachem moved all in for 48,000 on the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop and was called by the cutoff. Hachem showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a set of kings while his opponent tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for top two pair. The turn was the {7-Hearts}, the river was the {3-Diamonds} and Hachem doubled up to 90,000.

Barry Greenstein Eliminated by Josh Arieh

Barry Greenstein moved in the rest of his chips on a K-9-8 flop and Josh Arieh called. Greenstein showed J-J-T-9 for a straight draw while Arieh tabled K-7-7-X for a pair of kings. The turn was an ace, and the river was an 8, awarding the pot to Arieh and eliminating Greenstein.

As is customary for Greenstein, he signed a copy of his book "Ace on the River" for Arieh.

"Wow, big pot" quipped Arieh as he stacked up Greenstein's chips. "AND I get another book!"

Phil Ivey Eliminated

On a board of {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}, the small blind checked, Phil Ivey bet 5,000 from UTG, a middle position player called, and the small blind called. The river was the {7-Diamonds}. The small blind bet 16,000, Ivey called, and the MP player folded. The small blind showed {6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades} for the rivered set and Ivey mucked. He was down to only 7,000 after the hand.

On a subsequent hand, Ivey, a middle position player, and the blinds all limped to a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Both blinds checked, Ivey went all in for his remaining 2,700, the MP player raised all in to 9,200, the small blind called, and the big blind folded. Ivey showed {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} for two pair and his opponent turned over {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for an open-ended straight draw. The turn was the {6-Clubs} but the river was the {9-Hearts}, making the straight for Ivey's opponent.
