Tournament Update

It has been announced that if this event doesn't reach the final table by 10:00 pm PDT (four hours from now), that play will continue tonight until the final table, and then stop. The final table would then be played tomorrow (Friday).

If the final table is reached before 10:00 pm PDT, then play will continue until a bracelet is awarded.

The situation is complicated a bit by the fact that the dinner break is scheduled for 9:00 pm. So if they haven't reached the final table by the dinner break (three hours from now), then this will become a three-day event, with the final table starting tomorrow (Friday).

It seems unlikely that this field will shrink in time to fit at one table by the dinner break, so the safe money is on a Friday final table. Stay tuned for further updates.

Kostantin Anastasxaois Eliminated

After some preflop action, Kostantin Anastasxaois shoves all in for his last 20k from the cutoff and is called by Chau Giang on the button. The players show:

Anastasxaois: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Giang: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}

The flop comes {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} giving Anastasxaois the straight. The turn brings {2-Clubs} improving his hand to give him a queen-high flush against Giang's trip deuces. The river brings {10-Spades}, giving Giang a boat and sending Anastasxaois home.
