Day 2 Begins

Day 2 of Event #34, $3000 limit hold'em will kick off at 3 p.m. PDT. 110 of yesterday's 296 starters will return to the Rio to play down to the final table. Greg "FBT" Mueller, J.C. Tran, Al "Sugarbear" Barbieri and David Levi all sit at the top of the leaderboard. Phil Hellmuth is also still in it with a healthy stack as he chases down his 12th bracelet.

Re-start Delayed Until 4 P.M.

It's a five-event day here at the WSOP including a 2,500+ player $1,500 no-limit hold'em event-- therefore our re-start, originally scheduled to go off at 3 p.m., will not start until 4 p.m.

Stay tuned...

Richard Sargent Eliminated

Brandon Wong limped in, a late position player raised to 1,600, Richard Sargent re-raised for his last 1,900, Wong called and the LP player called. The flop was {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and they checked again. The river was the {4-Diamonds} and they checked it down a third time. Wong showed {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for trips, the LP player showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, and Sargent mucked as he headed to the rail.
