The Ups and Downs of Morgan Machina

Morgan Machina moves all in from early position for about 50,000, and the shortstacked small blind calls all in with Q-J. Machina shows {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and he'll need the hand to hold to stay alive. The board comes Q-10-8 with two hearts, and Machina is behind with an overcard and a flush draw. The last two cards are offsuit 10-4, and Machina is knocked down to 24,000.

The next hand, Machina is all in with Q-J against Julian Lefevre's A-6. The board comes Q-9-8-2-K, and Machina doubles up to about 69,000.

The hand after that (yes, this is three hands in a row), Machina is all in from the big blind with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} against a middle position player with {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. Machina's opponent said something along the lines of "I have to call," and Machina replies, "You have kings? I'd have called to. Unless I knew about that ace coming on the flop."

Sure enough, the flop comes {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and Machina takes the lead. The last two cards are {7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, and Machina wins the pot with two pair to double up to about 140,000 in chips.
