Kathy Liebert Gets Rivered

Facing a 1600 raise from Ken Koski in the small blind, Kathy Liebert moved all-in from the big blind to 2500. Koski called and turned over pocket nines; Liebert showed down pocket Jacks. She only had to dodge one last card... and that's when a cruel nine popped up on the river and ended Kathy Liebert's day.

Phil Hellmuth's Aces Get Cracked

Phil Hellmuth raised 1200 from the big blind, middle position called, the cut-off re-raised 2400, Hellmuth pushed all-in, middle position folded, and the cut-off called the all-in. The board came J-{3-Diamonds}-8-{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Hellmuth showed A-A, but his opponent showed {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flush to take the pot.

Phil Hellmuth Raging After Getting Rivered

Phil Hellmuth bet 300 from the button and the big blind called. The flop came {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Hellmuth bet 600 and the big blind called called. The turn came {8-Diamonds}. Both players checked. The river came {5-Spades}, Hellmuth checked, his opponent bet 1500 and Hellmuth called. Hellmuth showed {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a pair, but his opponent turned over {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for trip fives and Hellmuth was visibly upset.
