I Have Two Pair... Wait, I Have a Flush

Marcel Luske and the UTG player check down the flop and turn on a {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board. When the {9-Hearts} falls on the river, the UTG player bets 3,500 and Luske calls.

The UTG player announces that he has two pair. Luske turns over K-Q for the nut straight and says "Two pair is no good."

The UTG player turns over {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} -- he doesn't have two pair, he actually has a small flush.

Luske takes offense to this. "You shouldn't be doing that. You don't even have two pair," he says as he rolls his eyes and mucks his straight.

Luske Scoops

On a board reading {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts} on the turn, Marcel Luske bet out 9,000, his opponent moved all in for 10,000 and Luske called the additional 1K.

Luske {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Opponent {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Luske scooped the pot with a set of deuces and an 8-7 low. He was up to 40,000 after the hand.

The Scoopalot Crew

John "SirScoopalot" Guth and several other young men who have enjoyed a number of cocktails (perhaps eight to ten), are holding court along the front wall of the Pavilion while sweating some of their "crew." They're walking that fine line between spectator and total nuisance at the moment and security is maintaining a watchful eye.
