An Argument Over Pot Splitting

Cyndy Violette raises in the cutoff and is called by the big blind and the button. The flop is {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the big blind checks. Violette bets and the dealer raises. Both call. The turn is {J-Hearts}. The big blind and Violette check, the button bets and all call. The river is {7-Clubs} and the big blind checks. Violette bets and all call. Violette shows 5-8 for the straight, but the button has A-3 for low. The big blind mucks.

A big argument over pot splitting follows, as there's a 500 chip left over. Violette's opponent wants it split with the 100 chips into 300 for Violette and 200 for him. Violette wants it all. The floor rules that the 100 chips cannot be used to split pots during the Omaha round, so Violette gets the extra chip.

Two More Bustouts

Robert Mizrachi goes out in 26th place, earning $6,017.

On a board of {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}, Bob "Buzzsaw" Mangino put his last chips in. Lui Tran calls. Mangino has {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a set of 8s, but Tran has {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{J-Clubs} for the flush and nut low. Tran scoops and Mangino is eliminated in 25th place. He is the last player to earn $6,017.
