Exit Berman

The first hand after getting moved to another table, World Poker Tour honcho Lyle Berman put his last chips in the pot, only to lose the hand. Lyle now has the rest of the day to share with his son.

Lee Watkinson

Lee Watkinson, the winner of this event last year, has made a good start this year.
Involved in a pot against Chip Reese that had them both all in on the turn their cards were:
Lee {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Chip{A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

On a board showing {4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs},{10-Spades}

This gave Lee top two pair and an open ended straight draw and Chip flopped two pair and had the nut flush draw.
The river was the {6-Clubs} and Lee wins with tens up. He now has around 32,000.

Cruel For Bruel

John D'Agostino has dealt a blow to France's Patrick Bruel, turning a flush that held up against Patrick's top two pair. J D'Ags now has 15,000 and Patrick has been forced to use his rebuy chip.

Josh Arieh Has Been Eliminated

Josh Arieh was eliminated by Greg Raymer when Arieh's 2-2-8-7 couldn't outrun the Q-7-X-X of Raymer. Raymer made trip queens on the river and not only eliminated his fellow 2004 Main Event Finalist but had another player in the hand "rebuying" as well.
