Firecracker Can't Crack Aces

Heidi "The Firecracker" Muhamed moved all in after her opponent raised from middle position. Her opponent called and was the one at risk.

Muhamed: {A-Spades} {J-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}

After the turn, Muhamed was looking at flush outs on a board of {Q-Hearts} {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {2-Spades}, but the river brought the {K-Clubs} and Muhamed dropped to 4,000 chips after being around 10,000.

Railbirds

Some big names can be seen watching from the rail, or inside for that matter. Men "The Master" Nguyen, Daniel Negreanu, Paul Wasicka, Joe Sebok, and Robert Varkonyi are all lurking around to check on girlfriends, friends, or family.

80 Percent of the Field Eliminated

To illustrate just how fast this tournament is moving, consider this-- 80 percent of the field has already busted in less than six levels of play. The average stack is around 9,500, nearly five times the starting stack of 2,000. While tables were spread across the entire Amazon Room this morning, we've now consolidated to 25 tables in the Blue section.

At this rate, we should reach the money shortly after the dinner break.

A Mistake Saves Selbst

Vanessa Selbst and a player were involved in a pot of around 10,000 on the flop of {Q-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {5-Spades}. Selbst's opponent bet enough to Selbst all in. The player flipped her hand prematurely after she thought Selbst made the call. The action was still on Selbst and now she had free information.

The hand her opponent turned up was the {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. Selbst held {K-?} {Q-?} and thought about it for a while before wisely making the fold.

A middle-position player limped in, Amanda Leatherman raised to 1,500 and the MP player called. The flop was {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {2-Clubs}. The MP player checked, Leatherman bet another 1,500 and her opponent called. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the MP player check-called a 2,500 bet from Leatherman. The river was the {4-Spades}. Leatherman moved all in and the MP player folded.

Leatherman went to dinner with 15,500 in her stack.
