Soheil Sends Juanda Packing

Sorry John
Sorry John
John Juanda's bid for a fourth bracelet was ended by Soheil Shamseddin.

Shamseddin, who has been one of the chipleaders for the past few levels, put Juanda all in on a board of {j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Juanda showed {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Shamseddin had {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, but the {8-Clubs} hit on the river and Juanda was out.

Good Day, Ken Nay

Ken Nay is out, eliminated by Kia Hooshmand.

After a raise by Nay in early position, Hooshmand reraised and was called by Nay. The flop came {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Nay led out and Hooshmand called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Nay fired again and Hooshmand called again.

After the river brought the {j-Clubs}, Nay moved his last chips all in and Hooshmand called, showing {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Nay mucked.

Stann Doubles Again

Dave Stann has been all in multiple times in the past hour or so. This time he held {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and was called by one of the big stacks, Scott Clements. Clements held {A-?} {J-?} {2-?} {2-?}.

The flop came {Q-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}. The turn gave a set to Clements with the {2-Clubs}, but the river gave Stann a flush when the {J-Hearts} hit.

Stann hopes to keep climbing now instead of dwelling on the short stack much longer.

"Miami" John Taken Out By Poels, Brown

Andrew Brown raised from late position and was called by Pat Poels, John Cernuto and Jimmy Fricke.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Brown checked to Poels, who bet and was raised by Cernuto. Fricke called and Brown reraised and the three others all called.

Brown fired again after the {j-Spades} fell on the turn and was raised by Poels. Cernuto called for the rest of his chips and Fricke folded.

The river brought the {10-Clubs} and Brown checked to Poels, who bet and was called by Brown.

Poels turned over {a-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a high of two pair and a share of the low with Brown, who showed {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.

Cernuto mucked and headed for the payout booth.

Cam McKinley Doubles Through Poels

Cam McKinley — John Guth's pick to win the event — just raked in a big pot.

McKinley raised before the flop and was called by Pat Poels in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Poels checked to McKinley, who bet 2,000. After Poels called and the turn brought the {9-Spades}, Poels check-raised McKinley, who went all in for his last 4,000.

"You got me absolutely crushed," said Poels, after seeing McKinley's {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} was well ahead his {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

The river brought the {6-Clubs} and McKinley raked in the pot of aout 54,000. Poels' stack fell to 52,000.

Soo Lee Out

After Kia Hooshmand raised from middle position, Soo Lee went all in from the big blind and was called.

Lee showed A-A-4-K and Hooshmand turned over A-2-5-T.

The board ran out J-8-2-T-4 and Lee was eliminated, leaving two women left in the field, Shirley Rosario and Kristy Gazes.
