Hand #98 - Chris Ferguson

Grant Hinkle has the button in Seat 10. As first to act, he folds. Chris Ferguson peeks at his cards and then moves all in for about 1.3 million. James Akenhead folds and Ferguson picks up another pot.

Hand #96 - Chris Ferguson

Chris Ferguson has the button in Seat 8. Ferguson, first to act, moves all in for about 430,000. James Akenhead calls out of the small blind, as does Grant Hinkle from the big blind. Three players to the flop, one all in.

The flop is {8-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}. Both Akenhead and Hinkle check to see the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. They check again. The river is the {6-Diamonds}. They check one more time. Ferguson shows down the best hand with {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} to triple up, and the crowd goes absolutely wild.

Jesus is the resurrection and the life.

Hand #95 - James Akenhead

There will be a dead button this hand. Chris Ferguson is the small blind and James Akenhead is the big blind. Grant Hinkle raises to 250,000. Chris Ferguson folds and James Akenhead announces "all in." Grant Hinkle folds and James Akenhead wins the pot.

"Let's Chop It Three Ways!"

After the elimination of Theo Tran, Grant Hinkle has become a monster chip leader. Chris Ferguson, stood up and said, with a devious grin "Let's chop it three ways!" Despite his poker resume' and his reputation, with Hinkle's current chip stack, that might be a tough sell.

Theo Tran is Eliminated in 4th Place ($327,148)

Hand #94 -

Grant Hinkle has the button in Seat 10. James Akenhead folds to Hinkle on the button, who raises to 250,000. Tran calls the raise from the small blind, putting Chris Ferguson, the big blind, to a decision. He thinks and then folds. Two players to the flop.

The flop is {A-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {K-Clubs}. Tran checks to Hinkle on the button. Hinkle, dressed in a green button-down shirt, jeans and a black and white Bodog baseball cap, bets 350,000. Action moves back to Tran, who is slumped on the rail of the table. To say these players are exhausted, after playing from 2pm Monday until 6am Tuesday morning, and then starting again at 1:30pm Tuesday afternoon and playing 12 hours today, is an understatement. Tran makes the call.

The turn is the {A-Spades}. Tran checks to Hinkle again, who now bets 700,000. Akenhead, watching the hand closely, can't help but rub the sleep out of his eyes and chew on his fingernail. Tran takes a minute to make the call.

The {8-Diamonds} falls on the river. Tran checks to Hinkle a third time. Hinkle, showing no sign of slowing down at all, announces that he is all in. Tran quickly calls and show {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for trip aces. But Hinkle has made a full house with {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}! It's all over for Theo Tran. He is eliminated in fourth place and will collect $327,148. Get some sleep, Theo.

Hand #93 - Chris Ferguson

James Akenhead has the button in seat 9. Chris Ferguson moves all in from the cutoff for 210,000. James Akenhead raises to 500,000 from the button and both blinds fold. It's heads up between Ferguson and Akenhead and the players show:

Akenhead: {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}
Ferguson: {K-Clubs} {8-Hearts}

The audience is on their feet, most of which are rooting for Ferguson. The flop comes down {K-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {2-Clubs} putting Ferguson into the lead. In contrast to the rowdy roars heard at other times, Ferguson's supporters clapped triumphantly when the flop came down. The turn was a blank coming the {7-Diamonds}. After a dramatic pause, the river fell the {5-Diamonds} and Ferguson survived. He doubled up to about 500,000.
