Mueller Crippled

Greg "FBT" Mueller took a big hit to his stack. On a board of {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}, Mueller bet 3000. A player in the small blind made the call, which put him all-in. The player showed Q-J for the straight and Mueller mucked his hand, claiming to have had two pair. After this hand, Mueller is down to 1,500 in chips.

The Second Coming of Jesus?

Jesus Jr?
Jesus Jr?
A lot of people tend to imitate their favorite players at the table. Sometimes they will use their moves, their mannerism, and even sometimes their look. There is one player that could be Chris "Jesus" Ferguson's twin. Could this be the second coming of "Jesus"?

Brunson Holding Steady

Todd Brunson limped on the button behind one other player. The small blind completed and the big blind checked. All players checked a flop of {10-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}. When the {9-Hearts} fell on the turn, the small blind bet 600 and Brunson was the only caller. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Brunson folded to the small blind's bet of 1,000. Despite losing a few chips on this hand, Brunson's stack remains healthy at 5,750.

Min-Raise Does It For Corkins

Four limpers, including Hoyt Corkins, took a flop of {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The blinds checked the action to a player in middle position, who fired out 600. Corkins made the call as did the small blind, while the big blind stepped aside.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} to complete the rainbow on board, as the small blind this time led out at the pot with a bet of 850. The middle-position player folded before Corkins announced raise, tossing out a confusion of chips. It appeared to be short of a valid raise, and the dealer ruled it as a min-raise to 1,700.

Again there was confusion as the small blind seem perplexed by this bet amount, and, after a very strange betting sequence in this hand, the small blind eventually laid down his holding to ship the pot to Corkins.

Corkins moves to over 7,000 in chips.

Seidel Takes a Hit

"Make sure you get that down," Erik Seidel told us after he lost a big hand. Both Seidel and his opponent were all in after the flop brought each of them a set. Seidel had flopped a set of fives, while his opponent flopped a set of nines. After the hand, Seidel is down to 2,400.

Grigorian Uses a Chip Count to Talk Some Smack

While patrolling the tables, I stopped by to check on Chris "The Armenian Express" Grigorian. He looked up at me, gave a wink and spread out his chips to give a better view to be counted. Next, he turned to an opponent to his left and said, "You looking at my chips, buddy? Take a good look. I see you eyeballin' my stack."

Leave it to a pro to take something like a simple chip count and turn it around to use it as a psychological weapon.
