Dan Shak Eliminated

From the button, Dan Shak made a raise to 650. The small blind reraised to 1300, which was enough to put Shak all in. Shak made the call holding {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. The small blind held {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Shak's opponent spiked a pair of nines on a flop of {J-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. The turn and river came {2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, providing no help to Shak and sending him home for the day.

Three-way All-in for Ivey

A player under the gun moved all in for his remaining 1,245 and was called by Phil Ivey from early position. Another early-position player moved all in on top of that, which Ivey called as well. Ivey turned over pocket kings and was up against the under-the-gun player's {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and his other opponent's {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}. Ivey showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and only managed to win the sidepot after two clubs flopped and the river brought a third. After the hand, Ivey is at 6,500 in chips.

Terrence Chan Dominating

Terrence Chan has been dominant at his table today and is yet to put a foot wrong. We caught a recent hand with around 7,000 already in the pot on a board of {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Chan had put his opponent to a decision for all of his chips.

"Do you have aces?" the unknown player questioned. Chan responded with nothing but rock-like body language. The player eventually made a tough laydown and Chan raked in a huge pot to jump to around 18,000 in chips.

Lisandro Gets Healthy

Jeff Lisandro
Jeff Lisandro
After sitting tight much of the day, Jeff Lisandro just became involved in a multi-way all-in pot.

The first two players to act come in limping for 200, and a short-stacked player behind them decides to push in his remaining 1,300 chips. Action is folded around to Lisandro in the small blind, and he doesn't think long before he comes back over the top with an all-in move of his own.

The original limper, James McClendon, already has some calling chips cut out of his stack as the dealer counts down Lisandro's remaining 3,500. As soon as the math is done, McClendon puts in the call and the three men turn up their cards.

The short-stacked player shows {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, Lisandro has {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}, and McClendon is paired with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

The board runs out {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, as Lisandro nails his card on the river. After the hand, one player is eliminated, and Lisandro almost triples up to around 9,000.
