Where in the World is Rob Amereno?

Rob Amereno so far is a no-show on day two of this H.O.R.S.E event. So far, Amereno's chair is doing a fine job of watching over his stack. "The Chair," as he is called affectionately by his opponents, admits to having limited experience in mixed games. If Amereno doesn't return, it should be interesting to see how deep "The Chair" can go.

Barbero Gets There

Omaha-8

On a board of {J-Spades} {10-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} , Jose Barbero made a bet into Greg Raymer. Raymer raised and Barbero called. The river fell the {Q-Diamonds} and both players checked. Barbero turned over {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades} for a set of eights. Raymer remarked, "Set of eights? I let you get there? Aww."

Raymer is down to 9,500 and Barbero now sits on 13,000.

You Cannot Be Sirous!

Holdem:

Jacob Rice was all in on the turn and Sirous Jamshidi made the call. The board was 3-J-K-2 and Rice flipped pocket jacks for a set. Jamshidi groaned, realizing that he was drawing dead, and tossed his cards straight into the muck.

The floor was called and it was ruled that all players must table their hole cards at a showdown, so his cards were retrieved from the muck and shown as pocket fives.

The river was then dealt, and just to rub salt into the wound it came a third 5 as the pot was shipped to Rice.

Table of Death

There are plenty of interesting tables out there on Day 2. However, Table 47 caught our attention. Billy 'The Croc' Argyros is talking up a storm with fellow Australian and WSOP bracelet winner Gary Benson on a table which also features big-name pros Marcel Luske and Todd Brunson as well as online phenom Kevin 'BeL0WaB0Ve' Saul.
