A Good Read

A player at Joe Hachem's table opened the betting with a pot raise to 1,400. Hachem came over the top with a reraise to 4,800. The player went into the tank for several minutes, before getting some advice from the only source that mattered at the moment.

Hachem politely told him, "Let it go. We'll fight again."

After another minute or two, his opponent did indeed follow his recommendation and mucked his cards.

"Which ones do you want to see?" Hachem asked him.

"The aces," replied his opponent.
