The Ole Suck-Resuck

Hegeman Has Some Room to Play
Hegeman Has Some Room to Play
Omaha -

From under the gun, Kyle Hegeman raises it up to 42,000. Action folds around to Max Pescatori in the small blind, who puts in the call.

The flop comes {6-Clubs} {7-Spades} {K-Clubs}. Pescatori bets out 65,000, and Hegeman moves all in for his last 12,000 on top, which the Italian Pirate quickly calls. The hands are turned over:

Pescatori: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} {J-Spades} {5-Hearts}
Hegeman: {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}

Hegeman is ahead with two pair, but his lead disappears when the turn brings the {A-Clubs}, giving Pescatori a bigger two pair. Hegeman stands up and knocks the table, looking toward the rail.

Salvation finds him on the river though. The {7-Hearts} makes him a full house, and draws a reaction from the players and specators. After hitting that river, Hegeman has doubled up to a somewhat-comfortable 242,000. Pescatori has dropped down a bit to around 280,000.
