Dempsey Down; Kirill Killing

Kirill Gerasimov
Kirill Gerasimov
On a board showing {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Sean Dempsey bet 21,000, Kirill Gerasimov raised to 60,000, and Dempsey called.

The river was the {4-Clubs}. Dempsey checked, Gerasimov pushed his remaining 60,000 in, and Dempsey, having a bit less, made the call.

Gerasimov showed {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the nut flush, and Dempsey mucked and hit the rail. After that big pot, Gerasimov is now up to 290,000.

Dwan Quietly Adds to Stack

An interesting hand just took place between Tom "Durrrr" Dwan and Ted Lawson. With no preflop raising, the flop came {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Dwan checked, Lawson bet 7,000, and Dwan called.

The turn was the {J-Hearts}. Dwan again checked, Lawson bet 21,000, and Dwan shoved his remaining 58,600. Lawson went into the tank. After a couple of minutes, he looked at Dwan and said "Talk, say something." Dwan remained silent and motionless.

Lawson finally folded, showing two of his cards -- {K-Hearts}{J-Spades} -- as he did. Lawson is at 125,000, while Dwan now has 95,000.

Deeb-Sixed

Freddy Deeb got his remaining chips in on a flop of {K-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and Brian Rast, who had him covered, made the call.

Deeb showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}, while Rast had {9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. The turn was the {10-Clubs}, giving Rast two pair, and the river {K-Spades} gave him the boat. Deeb is out.

Negreanu Lands One-Two Punch, Eliminates Hollink and Talebi

This was one nasty hand.

On a flop of {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {4-Spades} Rob Hollink checked, Daniel Negreanu bet 10,000, Rodeen Talebi moved all in, Hollink called all in and Negreanu called as well.

Talebi {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {3-Hearts}

Hollink {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}

Negreanu {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {9-Spades} {3-Spades}

Hollink flopped top set, Talebi top two pair and the nut flush draw, and Negreanu a wrap and a flush draw.

The turn was the {9-Clubs}, Negreanu hitting his straight and taking the lead. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Negreanu's hand held up. He dragged the pot, eliminating both Hollink and Talebi.

South Moving North

Cole South has claimed another victim, and another chunk of chips.

On a flop of {2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{K-Hearts}, Dan Shak checked, South bet 8,000, Shak check-raised to 33,000, South shoved, and Shak called with the rest of his chips.

Shak showed {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and South {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the river the {3-Spades}. That river gave South the straight, and the rest of Shak's chips.
