Hellmuth Chipping Up

The first hand back from break, Phil Hellmuth was all in against John Juanda and David Benyamine, both of whom checked down to the river. Three hearts were on board, and Hellmuth showed {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}-x-x to triple up to 85,000.

On the next hand, Hellmuth won another small pot off of Benyamine and has chipped up to 130,000.

Jamie Pickering Eliminated in 13th Place ($61,718)

Down to around 100,000, Jamie Pickering raised to 42,000 and Alexander Kostritsyn called from the button. The flop came {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Pickering checked, Kostritsyn bet the pot, and Pickering put his last chips in the middle.

Pickering showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} -- a nice hand before that flop, but not as great after. Kostritsyn had {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for top two pair. The turn and river didn't help Pickering, and the runner-up in Event No. 19, the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event, goes home in 13th place in this one.

Kostritsyn is now at 250,000.

Evan Sofer - 12th Place
Brian Rast raised to 36,000, Evan Sofer reraised pot from the small blind, and Rast made the call.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and Sofer pushed his remaining chips in the middle. Rast made the call.

Sofer {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Rast {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Sofer's aces were good for the moment. The {5-Hearts} came on the turn, and Sofer was still in the lead, but Rast had lots of outs to hit a straight or flush. And the river brought one of them -- the {3-Hearts} -- eliminating Sofer in 12th. Meanwhile, Rast is up to 910,000.
