Scott Seiver Gone

We caught the action on the turn where Scott Seiver had check-raised his opponent on {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades} board. His opponent made the call and tabled {K-Spades}{7-Spades} for a monster draw as Seiver hung onto the lead with his {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. However, his opponent caught one of his outs when the {7-Diamonds} fell on the river to eliminate Seiver from today's tournament.

Jennifer Tilly Implodes - Eliminated

Tilly Eliminated
Tilly Eliminated
When players went to break, Jennifer Tilly was third in chips. In two hands, she went from one of the chip leaders to the rail. In the first hand, David Singer raised to 900 preflop and then Jennifer Tilly came over the top for 3,650 more. Singer called.

On a flop of {7-Spades} {5-Hearts} {9-Spades} , Tilly bet 5,000 and Singer moved all in for 5,925 more. Tilly held {A-Clubs} {5-Clubs} for a pair of fives and Singer held {J-Hearts} {J-Spades} for a pair of jacks. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river was the {7-Diamonds}, and Tilly was down to 5,000 chips.

On the very next hand, Tilly moved all in on the flop of {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}. She was called by Cliff Pappas. Tilly held {K-Hearts} {5-Hearts} for a pair of fives and Pappas held {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}. Tilly held the lead in the hand through the turn of the {2-Spades}, but when a {10-Diamonds} fell on the river, Tilly went from the penthouse to the outhouse.

Rosenblum Heads To Limit

A short-stacked Russell Rosenblum was keen to double up or bust out to go and register in the $10,000 Limit Hold'em World Championship.

In the first hand he managed to double up with his {9-Spades}{10-Spades} outdrawing an opponent's {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on a nine-high board. He then lost most of it again when his pocket eights fell to {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs} when an ace spiked on the flop.

Finally Rosenblum lost a race with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} against {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} when the board ran out {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} to finally bust out as he heads across the Amazon Room to play a little Limit Hold'em.

Batista vs Pham

In a battle of new school versus old school, Chad Batista is seated with David Pham to his immediate left. Both players are known for their aggressive play and recently we've noticed that one of them has been the preflop aggressor close to 90% of the time.

Good luck to the other players if they want to see a cheap flop!

US Open on Mobile Television

Cliff Pappas has wandered over to our booth here in the Amazon Room so that he can watch the remainder of the U.S. Open on his cell phone. Since cell phones are not allowed at the table, he is not allowed to watch it at the table. The U.S. Open is up on one of the big screens here, but his table is in an awkward angle to watch the event.

Here Comes Razor!

The 'Razor'
The 'Razor'
John 'Razor' Phan has surged up the leaderboard after first collecting a large pot with {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} on a board of {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} against the pair and straight draw of his opponent with {6-Spades}{7-Spades}.

A few moments later Phan won another big pot after winning the race with his {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} versus {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} when the board ran out {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{A-Clubs}.

Phan now sits with about 58,000 chips.

Raymer Gets Squeezed

Greg Raymer opened with a raise from late position before the player in the big blind made a move for his last 6,000 chips from the big blind. Raymer insta-called with pocket kings as his opponent sheepishly turned over an ambitious {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

However, remarkably the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and the big blind made a miraculous straight to claim the 13,000-chip pot and leave Raymer disgusted on about 9,000.
