J.C. Tran Drops Two Pots in a Row

Shun Uchida bet, Chris Vitch raised and J.C. Tran three-bet. The other two players called and they saw a {6-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} flop. Uchida and Vitch both checked then both called Tran's bet. The {7-Clubs} turned, Uchida and Vitch again checked and when Tran bet again Uchida called and Vitch folded. Both players checked when the {2-Clubs} fell on the river and Tran said, "All right, how big's your pair?". It turned out Uchida's {10-Hearts} {10-Spades} pipped Tran's {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts} and that post propelled Uchida up to 280,000.

A few hands later Andy Bloch raised and Tran called from the cutoff. Block check-called Tran's 6,000 bet after the {4-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {A-Clubs} flop and when the {Q-Clubs} turned Bloch checked again. Tran bet, Bloch check-raised, and Tran laid his hand down. Losing those two pots dropped him down to 157,000.
