Chen Is Climber of the Day

Bill Chen has enjoyed a second double up, just minutes after his last, closely followed by a dose of the old pocket rockets -- he's now managed to turn a dodgy 11,000 into a commanding 70,000 stack since the beginning of this level.

A gent on the cutoff raised to 1,675 preflop, and Chen called from the button. He called the cutoff's 2,700 on the {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {3-Spades} flop as well. The turn came the {5-Hearts} and this time the cutoff checked. Chen bet 6,000, called by the cutoff, and when the cutoff announced all in on the {Q-Diamonds} river, "I call!" cried Chen and turned over {8-Clubs} {8-Spades} for a flopped set. The cutoff mucked. Chen up to 56,000.

And then a few hands later, Chen was facing a preflop all in from an unknown opponent holding {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} -- Chen was holding {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}, which only improved on the {2-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {A-Hearts} board. Up to 70,000.
