Nadim Shabou Eliminates R.W. West

Sadly, this time we know for sure that R.W. Best was knocked out. He moved in the last of his chips with {A-Spades} {10-Hearts} and Nadim Shabou, short-stacked himself and in the big blind, had no choice but to call with {J-Clubs} {4-Spades}. Shabou flopped a jack, and when Best didn't catch an ace on the turn or river he was eliminated.

Kirby Brewer Eliminated

Kirby Brewer moved all in preflop and was called by Doug Middleton. Middleton showed {Q-Spades} {10-Spades} and Kirby held {K-Spades} {9-Spades}. Things looked great for Kirby until a queen fell on the flop. Kirby failed to improve and was eliminated.

Tom Braband Eliminates Danny Parks

The short-stacked Danny Parks was probably glad to get his money in with pocket queens, though less so when he found he was up against Tom Braband's pocket Aces. Parks' didn't catch another queen and he was eliminated just before the break.

Jurgens Triples Up

Preflop, Can Hua, Tad Jurgens, and Justin Wald were all in. Hua held {J-Spades} {10-Spades}, Wald held A-K, and Jurgens had pocket kings. The pocket kings held for Jurgens who is up to 280,000 after the hand while Hua was eliminated. Wald is down to 225,000

Doug Middleton Down, Up, Up...

In the span of about ten minutes Doug Middleton doubled up Craig Coghlan, then doubled up himself through Owen Crowe and Rick Solis. In the last hand Middleton moved all in with pocket sevens and Solis called with pocket tens. "Nice call," Middleton said as he stood up...and that's when the dealer spread the flop and the door card was a seven. Middleton's hand held up and after being as low as 55,000 just a few minutes ago he's back up to 280,000. Solis is down to 270,000.
