Peterson Loses Stack

Preflop, John Shipley led out for 25,000 and Lasse Peterson came over the top for 125,000 more. Shipley moved all in, Peterson called, and saw he was up against Shipley's pocket aces. Peterson held {A-Diamonds}

but the board offered no help to improve. After the hand, Peterson is down to 120,000 while Shipley is up to 530,000.

Tom Braband Eliminates Franco Brunetti

Peterson Runs into Aces, then A-2

Earlier Lasse Peterson ran his A-Q into pocket aces. This time around, Peterson was all in preflop with two other players; Thomas Gabriel and Chris Coghlan. Peterson held {J-Spades}

, Thomas held {A-Clubs}

, and Coghlan held {A-Diamonds}

.

Coghlan was thrilled when he spiked a deuce on the flop, though neither Peterson nor Gabriel were too amused when they couldn't catch up. Peterson was eliminated, while Gabriel is down to 315,000.

Rick Solis Doubles Through Roy Vandersluis

. When Steed paired his ace on the turn that ws the end of Vandersluis' night.

Justin Wald Wins a Huge Pot With Tony Sapio

Sapio raised to 35,000 and Wald reraised to 90,000. Sapio came over the top and set Wald all in, and he quickly called with pocket aces to Sapio's A-K. Wald flopped a set of aces and winning that pot pushed him up over 600,000 and left Sapio with around 150,000.
