Freddy Deeb Arrives...Not Really

Freddy Deeb threw us into some confusion when he sat down in an empty chair at a nearby table and chatted away with the players at the table. We didn't think we would miss Freddy in the field and walked over to see him with 2,500 in chips in front of him.

For a moment we questioned how we could miss a player of his calibre and assumed he had arrived late and had been blinded down.

However it turns out Freddy has jokingly grabbed some chips off the player next to him to attempt to join in the fun. The dealer didn't buy the joke as much as we did, as Freddy returned the chips after some laughs and continued his walk through the tournament area.

Matusow Wheelin' and Dealin'

On a flop of {A-Spades} {8-Clubs} {5-Clubs} , a player in the small blind bet out and Mike Matusow raised. His opponent made the call. On the turn of the {2-Diamonds}, the betting was checked to Matusow. Matusow again bet and his opponent called. The same action occurred when the river card of the {10-Diamonds} hit. On showdown, Matusow showed {4-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {6-Spades} for the wheel.

After the hand, Matusow is up to 43,000 chips.
