The Limit Master

Limit Hold'em:

Michael Guzzardi called a raise out of the big blind with three others in the hand. Guzzardi said, "All right, let me flop the nuts," right before the flop was dealt.

The flop came {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} and Nick Binger checked from the small blind. Guzzardi checked, and then Jason Ruffinelli bet out. Sam Hiatt called and Binger folded. Guzzardi then announced raise. Only Ruffinelli called.

The turn came the {Q-Hearts} and Guzzardi bet. Ruffinelli called. The river was the {A-Spades} and Guzzardi bet again. Ruffinelli called as fast as Guzzardi could bet.

Guzzardi turned over {9-Spades} {2-Spades} for two pair. Ruffinelli looked disgusted and mucked his hand while mumbling something.

Guzzardi said, "Nine-deuce... the nuts!" as he raked in the chips.

Another player at the table yelled out, "You're the limit master!"

Guzzardi is now up to 125,000.

De Bora Runs Into Cowboys

Limit Hold'em:

Chris Rentes and Greg de Bora just clashed in a pot, and it ended up costing de Bora his whole stack.

Rentes opened from middle position with a raise, and de Bora reraised from the button. Rentes three bet it, and de Bora moved all in for just a small amount more, tabling {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}. He wasn't in good shape though, as Rentes flipped over {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}.

The board came out {10-Hearts} {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {6-Spades}, providing no help for the at-risk de Bora and sending him to the rail. Rentes has upped his own count to 148,000.

John Keefe Eliminated in 27th Place ($5,688)

No-Limit Hold'em:

From early position, John Keefe raised, and Daniel Krause reraised him enough to cover. Keefe made the call showing {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}, and was racing against Krause's {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}.

The dealer spread the board: {3-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {2-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts}. It proved useless to Keefe, failing to improve his hand, and he is headed for the door.

Daniel Deveau Eliminated in 26th Place ($5,688)

Limit Hold'em:

From late position, Daniel Deveau opened with a raise, and it was enough to put him all in. Peter Rho made the call from the small blind. Deveau held {A-Clubs} {7-Spades} and was at risk against the {A-Hearts} {9-Clubs} of Rho.

The board ran out {8-Spades} {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}, and Rho's kicker played, knocking off Deveau.

Michael Guzzardi Eliminated in 25th Place ($5,688)

Limit Hold'em:

From under the gun, Ricky Sanders raised, and sitting next to him, Michael Guzzardi raised it up. Sanders called.

The flop came down {5-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {J-Spades}. Sanders check-called a bet from Guzzardi. On the turn, the {7-Clubs} peeled off. Sanders checked, Guzzardi bet, and Sanders raised back, enough to put his opponent all in. Guzzardi called.

Sanders showed {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts}, and was in trouble versus the {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} of Guzzardi. Salvation came on the river though, drowning Guzzardi. The {10-Spades} hit the board, making trip jacks for Sanders. Guzzardi gets outdrawn on the last card, and he headed to the rail disappointed.

Jason Ruffinelli Eliminated in 24th Place ($5,688)

Limit Hold'em:

For the first time in a while, we had some real action over at Table 16. Quyen Nguyen opened the can of worms with a raise from middle position. Michael Rosenthal raises from late position, and Sam Hiatt three bets from the cutoff. Jason Ruffinelli is in the small blind, and he caps the betting with the fourth raise. All three opponents call, and it's four-handed to the flop.

The dealer spreads out the first three cards: {4-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs}. Ruffinelli bets, Nguyen folds, Rosenthal calls, and Hiatt raises. Ruffinelli is all in, and Rosenthal calls the second bet.

The turn and river come {A-Spades} and {3-Hearts} in that order, with Rosenthal check-calling a bet both times. At showdown, Hiatt tables {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}, which is enough to best Rosenthal. Next is Ruffinelli, who needs to beat that hand to stay alive. He turns over {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}, and is outkicked and kicked out by Sam Hiatt.
