Italy Versus Spain Mk II

Spain is victorious in this battle as over the course of two hands Carlos Mortensen has eliminated recent bracelet winner, Dario Minieri.

In the first hand Minieri hung around to the river but folded to Mortensen's 1,100 bet on {8-?} {5-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {2-Clubs} board. Another player involved called but mucked when he saw Mortensen'a {A-Hearts} {2-Spades}.

A few hands later Minieri raised from middle position and found Mortensen and the blinds calling.

The flop came {8-Spades} {J-Spades} {8-Clubs}. Minieri bet out for 225 and only Mortenson called.

The turn came {6-Clubs} and Mortensen called a 400 bet from Minieri.

The river came {9-Diamonds} before Minieri bet his last 1,700. Mortensen snap called with {8-Hearts} {9-Hearts} which was good for the pot and the downing on the diminutive Italian.
