Ace on the River

Paul Foltyn just pushed all in from under the gun with his last 143,000. When Leo Kam reraised all in over the top, Foltyn surmised "Sounds like a three-outer."

He was right. Foltyn showed {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, while Kam had {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and it didn't look good for Foltyn. The turn was the {2-Spades}, and it looked even worse.

But the river was the {A-Diamonds}, and Foltyn doulbed to 290,000. Kam fell down to 140,000.

Lyndaker Gets There on Lutz

Tom Lutz made it 25,000 to go under the gun. It folded over to Richard Lyndaker on the button and he moved all in for about 200,000. Lutz quickly called.

Lutz: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades}
Lyndaker: {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds}

The flop came {Q-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {5-Diamonds} and Jimmy Wong chimed in, "No picture! No picture!"

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Wong still didn't want a picture card and he got his wish... kind of. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and gave Lyndaker a queen-high straight and Wong said, "Well, that's too bad."

Lyndaker is up to a little over 400,000.

The Young Trickett Knows How to Play

Samuel Trickett seems to really want to play his big stack and use the muscle his chips provide for him. On this hand, he raised to 25,000 from under the gun. Bryan Pope decided to reraise from the button to 70,000. It folded back over to Trickett and he thought before making another raise to 290,000. Pope had 350,000 behind at the time, but mucked almost right away.

As soon as Pope mucked, the railbirds watching Trickett yelled out: "Go on Trickett," they said. "Shove it up 'em!"

Trickett is looking really strong with around 850,000 chips.

Tom Lutz raised to 25,000 on the button, and Bertrand Grospellier called from the big blind. The flop came {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Grospellier checked, Lutz bet 36,000, and Grospellier called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts}. Grospellier checked, and this time Lutz bet 75,000. Again, Grospellier called.

The river was the {K-Clubs}. Grospellier checked, and Lutz pushed all in with his remaining 183,000. After tanking for a good while, Grospellier made the call.

Lutz showed {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the turned flush. Grospellier mucked.

Lutz is up to 650,000, while Grospellier has now slid to 350,000.

Back Down For ElkY

There's always constant movement with ElkY's stack
There's always constant movement with ElkY's stack
From early positon, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier raised to 25,000, just as he did a few hands ago. Jimmy Wong made the call from the small blind.

The flop came {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} and both Grospellier and Wong checked. The turn then came the {8-Hearts} and Wong led for 30,000. Grospellier made the call. The river came the {4-Clubs} and Wong check-called a 57,000-chip bet from ElkY.

Wong showed {A-Spades} {5-Hearts} and Grospellier snapped his hand into the muck quickly. Grospellier is back down to 670,000 with Wong moving up to 390,000.

Small pocket pairs are doing the trick for Alex Jacob at the moment.

This time he raised to 25,000 from middle position with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}, and Martin Wiklund pushed all in from the small blind. Jacob called.

Wiklund showed {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. The flop came {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} -- Jacob had flopped a boat. The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, and the night was done for Wiklund.

After riding the short stack for a good while, Jacob is now up to 655,000.

Trips for ElkY

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier raised on the button to 25,000. Both the blinds made the call. Richard Lyndaker was in the small blind and Jason Gray was in the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Clubs} {7-Spades} {3-Diamonds} and the blinds checked over to Grospellier. Grospellier bet 46,000 and Lyndaker folded. Gray made the call.

The turn was the {A-Hearts} and both players checked.

The river was the {3-Hearts} and Gray checked to Grospellier. ElkY made the bet 127,000. Gray ducked his head with his hand on his chin and thought. He counted out the 127,000 and thought some more. He then made the call after a minute or two.

Grospellier rolled over {6-Hearts} {3-Spades} for trip threes that he picked up on the river. Gray mucked immediately. Grospellier is up to 795,000.
