Hand #95 – Corwin Cole

The button is with Scott Sitron. Farzad Rouhani raised to 155,000 from the cutoff, and Corwin Cole moved all in from the big blind for a total of 940,000.

Rouhani stood up from his chair and paced around behind it, grabbing his bottled water as he did. He then leaned over and started unstacking and restacking his chips somewhat aggressively. Finally, he made the call.

Rouhani {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Cole {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and Rouhani was way out in front.

Then came the turn... the {5-Diamonds}! A huge roar erupted from Cole's significantly large cheering section.

The river -- the {6-Spades} -- no longer mattered, and Cole had doubled all of the way up to 1.935 million, just a bit behind chip leader Scott Sitron. Rouhani tumbled back to 1.48 million.

Hand #96 – Dan Heimiller

The button is with David Daneshgar. The action folded to Corwin Cole who moved all in from the small blind. Dan Heimiller snap-called from the big blind and the cards were tabled.

Cole: {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Heimiller: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The flop came {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and Cole picked up the nut flush draw for additional outs. However the turn brought the {9-Clubs} and the river the {9-Hearts} to give Heimiller a much needed double up to move to about 1.45 million chips. Easy come, easy go, for Cole.

Sitron Sitting On Top For Now

Scott Sitron
Scott Sitron
Current chip leader Scott Sitron has cashed twice already at this summer's WSOP, both times in hold'em events with large fields. His best finish was 20th out of over 2,300 entrants in Event No. 32, another $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event.

With total career earnings of less than $40,000, today's payday will be a significant one for Sitron, regardless of where he ends up.

The next player to go out will receive $189,311.

Hand #98 – Scott Sitron

The button is with Dan Heimiller. The action folded around to Farzad Rouhani in the small blind and he raised it up to 155,000 to go. Scott Sitron made the call in the big blind.

The two saw a flop of {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Rouhani led out with a bet of 230,000. Sitron made a quick call.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds}. Rouhani thought for a few moments before slowing down and checking it over to Sitron who fired out 350,000. Rouhani cut down his chips and made the call.

The river was the {3-Hearts} and Rouhani checked once again. Sitron instantly moved all in for about 1.3 million, which covered Rouhani. After some more thought, Rouhani reluctantly folded as Sitron flashed {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for nothing but imagination!

Rouhani slips to 670,000 while Sitron is now a clear chip leader with over 2.8 million.

Hand #100 - Scott Sitron

The 100th hand of this final table saw the action passed to Scott Sitron on the button who made it 120,000 to go. Corwin Cole made the call from the big blind.

The board {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{J-Hearts} was checked down and Sitron showed {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a pair of sixes which was good to collect the pot.

Hand #102 - Farzad Rouhani

The button is with Corwin Cole. David Daneshgar opened with a raise from the cutoff to 155,000. The action folded to Farzad Rouhani who moved all in from the big blind for an additional 495,000. Daneshgar went into the tank as Rouhani casually walked up into the audience seating to chat with his entourage. Daneshgar did some math before eventually making the call.

Daneshgar: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}
Rouhani: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to give Daneshgar the lead with a pair of sevens however Rouhani picked up a straight draw. The turn was a blank with the {6-Clubs} but the river was the {K-Diamonds} to give Rouhani a pair of kings to take the pot and double up to 1,355,000 chips!
