Lars Sundberg Doubles Through Elliot Smith

Elliot Smith raised to 40,000 and Lars Sundberg moved in for his last 56,000. Smith called that tiny bit more and his {8-?} {3-?} needed all sorts of help against Sundberg's {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}. He picked up a gutshot draw on the turn but in the end Sundberg's kings held up and he doubled to 145,000. Smith is down to 450,000.

Petter Fransson Eliminated in 19th Place ($17,276)

Petter Fransson open-raised all in for his whole stack of 118,000. It was looking like he'd pick up the blinds and antes, but Matt Matros called from the small blind. The big blind folded and the players showed:

Petter Fransson: {Q-Clubs} {J-Spades}
Matros: {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}

The flop came {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} giving Fransson some outs. He could catch a {Q-?} or a {J-?} or make a runner-runner straight. The turn fell the {10-Spades} giving him a straight draw but the river came the {3-Spades} and he finished second best. He headed for the rail while Matros stacked his chips, which are now over the 750,000 mark.

Seat 2: Eric Jolly 160,000

Table 6:

Seat 2: Daniel Hughes 115,000
Seat 3: Andrey Zaichenko 750,000
Seat 4: Lars Sundberg 170,000
Seat 5: Brock Mishler 260,000
Seat 6: Joachim Berg-Jensen 190,000
Seat 7: Dave Daneshgar 600,000

Seat 9: Jeff Courtney 310,000

Eric Jolly Eliminated in 18th Place ($21,688)

Elliot Smith raised to 40,000 from middle position. Scott Sitron put in a reraise from late position to 110,000. Corwin Cole reraised all in from the button for just under 400,000. Eric Jolly called all in from the big blind for around 130,000. Smith threw his hand away and Sitron called Cole's reraise. The players showed

Sitron: {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}
Cole: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}
Jolly: {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}

The flop came {8-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {2-Spades}, which helped no one. The {K-Spades} on the turn caused some minor chatter but was relatively meaningless. The river was the {Q-Clubs} and Cole clapped his hands. His three queens were good for a monster pot and Sitron was left shaking his head.

Jolly was eliminated on the hand and Sitron was left with just 250,000. Corwin Cole now sits with just over 950,000.

Daniel Hughes Eliminated in 17th Place ($21,688)

Daniel Hughes raised all in for 235,000 in late position and Andrey Zaichenko moved all in himself from the cutoff. Hughes' {A-Hearts} {10-Spades} trailed Zaichenko's {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} and when the flop came {Q-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {7-Spades} Hughes needed something in a runner-runner to survive. The turn did its part and brought the {10-Diamonds}, but the river only delivered the {4-Clubs} and Hughes was out in 17th place.
