Ladies Lucky Again For Vanessa Rousso

A few hands after she won a pot after flopped a pair of queens Vanessa Roussou doubled up when she was dealt pocket queens to Rick Ribble Jr's pocket nines. Rousso's queens held up and she doubled to 63,000.

She gave Ribble a few of those chips back a bit later when he moved in his last 8,000 with {Q-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and Rousso called in the big blind with {K-Spades} {10-Hearts}. Ribble flopped trips and turned quads and doubled up to around 20,000.

Which he promptly lost in a hand with Peter Marr when his {K-Clubs} {9-Clubs} failed to improve against Marr's {A-Spades} {2-Spades}. These last two hands came as I was writing up the first hand between Ribble and Rousso, which gives you an idea of the rock-em sock-em brand of action we're seeing at the start of play today.
