Gary Biggar Doubles Through Andrey Zaichenko

Action folded around to Gary Biggar in the cutoff seat. He capped his cards and pondered his options. While he thought, Andrey Zaichenko asked him "is this it?" (Biggar has gotten into the habit of saying "this is it" anytime he put a lot of chips into the pot.)

After a bit, Biggar moves all in for 293,000. Action was then on Zaichenko on the button and he reraised all in for about 900,000. The blinds passed and the players showed:

Biggar: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}
Zaichenko: {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}

The flop came {Q-Spades} {8-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} sending Biggar from first to worst. His tournament life hung in the balance as he watched the {J-Hearts} hit the turn. The dealer quickly laid the {A-Hearts} on the river prompting Biggar to shout, almost involuntarily "this IS it!....this IS it!!" a few times. The dealer pushed the pot and Biggar looked around and said "the ace is a god."

He's up to about 620,000 chips while Zaichenko falls to just over 600,000.
