Rousso Reclaims Chips from Nguyen

No-Limit Hold'em:

Scotty Nguyen opened from late position for 1,700 and Vanessa Rousso called from the big blind. The flop came down {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {2-Spades} and Rousso check-called a 1,500 bet from Nguyen. The turn fell the {3-Clubs} and Rousso checked again. Nguyen bet 4,000, Rousso raised to 10,000, Nguyen made it 20,000 and Rousso moved all in.

After a lengthy tank, Nguyen folded, saving the 39,000 he had left. Rousso dragged the pot, taking her stack up to 85,000.

Mike Matusow Doubles Through David Pham

2 1/2 pots, kiddies!
2 1/2 pots, kiddies!
Stud:

Mike Matusow's table is rather close to media row and over the last half hour or so, we've heard nothing from him but how he's only won one and a half pots all night. He's now nearly doubled that number, getting all in against David Pham on third street in stud high, his kings and sevens besting Pham's deuces and treys to take his stack up to 12,000.

'The Panzer' Gets Tanked...

Stud-8:

Anthony Lellouche: {2-Spades} {10-Spades} {Q-Spades} {4-Spades}
George 'The Panzer' Danzer: {K-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

We join the action on fifth street where Danzer bet 2,400. Lellouche called and a third player folded {6-?} {2-?} {9-?}.

On sixth when Danzer made open queens he checked to Lellouche who checked behind. Getting seventh, Danzer checked and now Lellouche bet.

The German sighed, "There's too much money in there to pass..."

He made the call and Lellouche said, "I already had it, flipping {A-Spades} {8-Spades} with the {7-Hearts} to make a low as well.

Danzer said, "You gave me a free shot at my house?"

Lellouche nodded then said, "You would call a bet on sixth?" and the German nodded vigourously.

Phil Ivey Eliminated by David Bach

Razz:

Phil Ivey (X) (X) {A-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} (X)
David Bach (X) (X) {7-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} (X)
Unknown Opponent (X) (X) {A-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}

The {A-Clubs} completed, David Bach called, Phil Ivey raised, and both players called. Ivey led out on fourth street and got two callers. On fifth, Bach made the low board and bet out. Ivey made what looked like a reluctant call all in for his last 1,500 and the third player folded.

Bach turned up 7-6-5-4-2 and sent Ivey to the rail.

Mike Mouths Off!

Mike Matusow has been knocked out by David 'The Dragon' Pham.

Matusow: {Q-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts}
Dragon: {K-Spades} {9-Spades} {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}

Matusow was fairly cross at all this since both a nine and a king had been folded on third by other players but somehow Matusow was one-outed on seventh.

Even the Best Get Confused

I thought it was high-low!

Stud:

Showing 2-5-6 as his upcards in a stud hand, Josh Arieh's eyes nearly bugged out of his head when the dealer moved his arm to push him the pot, giving him a better look at the game placard.

"That hand was STUD?" exclaimed a bewildered Arieh. "I thought it was Stud 8!"

"We thought that you thought it was Razz" said one of his table mates.

Arieh couldn't believe his good fortune as he stacked his chips.

Dragon Vs The Chainsaw

Stud-8

No, it's not the title of the latest Bruce Campbell movie, but a hand between David Pham, Hasan Habib and Allen Kessler.

Pham: {4-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {A-Spades}
Kessler: {4-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {5-Spades}
Habib: {10-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

Pham raised on third with the other two calling before Habib led out on fourth, called in both spots once more. On fifth it was checked to Kessler who bet and again two more callers.

On sixth street, Pham checked his ace, Kessler bet and Habib folded with Pham calling.

Seventh went check check and Kessler showed {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {8-Hearts} for a pair of eights with an 8-5-4-3-A low. Pham had him pipped though, he flipped {A-Hearts} {2-?} {3-?} for aces with an 8-4-3-2-A low to scoop.

Berry Unhappy

Limit Hold'em:

Berry Johnston raised preflop to 2,400 and was called in late position.

The flop was {9-Spades} {4-Clubs} {7-Spades} and Johnston's last few chips went in holding {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} but his opponent flipped {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} and Johnston needed running clubs or aces to win, the turn {3-Clubs} gave him a shot but the river was the {8-Diamonds} and the former WSOP champion was eliminated.

Negreanu=120K

I love my fans
I love my fans
Limit hold'em:

In a pot that was three-bet pre, the action was checked to Daniel Negreanu on the {J-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {6-Clubs} flop. Negreanu bet and both opponents called. The turn was the {7-Clubs}. It was checked to Negreanu again and this time both opponents folded to his bet. Negreanu showed {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} for top pair and the nut flush draw.

Two fans were standing on the rail watching Negreanu in the hand and after he stacked up the pot, he asked them if they wanted a picture.

"Really? That would be great," said the couple.

Negreanu playfully grabbed their camera and snapped a photo of them, before posing for a picture.

Negreanu is currently up to 120,000 and is, by our estimates the chip leader.
