The Most Uncomfortable Seats in the Room

Just a hunch, but those to the right of Phil Ivey aren't looking too comfy, relatively speaking.

Ivey had put in a preflop raise from early position, and Kristina Holst called from the blinds. Both began the hand with similar stacks -- about 75,000.

The flop came {10-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Holst checked, Ivey bet 4,500, and Holst thought for a while before making the call. The turn was another queen -- the {Q-Spades}. Holst tapped the table, and this time Ivey fired out 8,000. Holst took about thirty seconds, then let it go.

Ivey is sitting with around 80,000 at the moment, while Holst still has about 70,000 -- above the current 53,000-chip average.

JohnnyBax Eliminated

Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy raised from under the gun to 3,200 only to have the small blind shove all in. Josephy made the call showing {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds} his opponent had an overpair with {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} .

The board came {A-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} giving the small blind a king high flush.

Delis Down

Marcel Janicke's day continues to go well. He raised to 2,000 from middle position, and Mario Delis, quiet up to then, reraised to 8,500. It folded back to Janicke, and after some thought he said he was all in. Delis called with his remaining chips (approximately 20,000), turning over {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} to Janicke's {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}, and Janicke slapped his hands, liking his prospects. The {A-Hearts} made life even better for him, and the {10-Diamonds} sealed it. Delis hits the rail, and Janicke is now up to 241,000.

Nothing Funner

After a flop came {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Alan Keating got all of his chips in the middle holding {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} only to find himself up against John Carey's {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

But the turn was the {Q-Hearts} and the river the {A-Diamonds}, and Keating escaped. He is now up to 215,000, while Carey falls back 22,000.

Jacob Climbs Ladder

Oktay Altinbas open-raised to 3,100 from middle position, and it folded to Alex Jacob who reraised all in from the big blind for 21,400. Altinbas made the call.

Jacob showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, and Altinbas {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The flop came {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and the turn {9-Hearts}, and Jacob was down to one card to survive. The river brought what he needed -- the {A-Hearts} -- and Jacob is alive and with 45,000 chips. Altinbas now has 14,500.

Scott Clements Eliminated

After a series of raises Scott Clements found himself all in before the flop against a player in the cut off.

Clements: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}
Cut off: {A-?} {A-?}

The board bricks out and Clements is eliminated.

Aces Help Shak Double Stack

The table folded around to Robert McLaughlin who raised to 3,500 from the cutoff seat. Then Beth Shak reraised to 7,500. The blinds folded, McLaughlin reraised all in, and Shak called with her remaining chips.

McLaughlin showed {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, while Shak turned over {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}. The board came {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and Shak's rockets held up. She is now up to 48,000, while McLaughlin slips back to 50,000.
