Another Tough Table Developing

Dennis Phillips
Dennis Phillips
As the field shrinks, big stacks and big names are starting to clash. Table 11 has just added two new players, making the first three seats a difficult set of players to get through. In order they are:

Seat 1: Jason Somerville - 130,000
Seat 2: Gavin Griffin - 63,000
Seat 3: Dennis Phillips - 52,000

Nenad Medic Doubles Through Blair Hinkle

Nenad Medic
Nenad Medic
Nenad Medic raised to 2,100 in early position and Blair Hinkle re-raised to 6,500 from the big blind. Medic made the call and we saw a flop of {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Hinkle bet 9,000 and Medic took a couple of minutes before raising an additional 19,000. It was then Hinkle's turn to think before he re-raised all in. Medic made the call and the hands were shown:

Hinkle: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Medic: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} and the river the {6-Diamonds}, giving Medic the 7-high straight.

Medic's stack is now just shy of 100,000 while Hinkle has slipped to 45,000.

Andy Black Doubles Up

Andy Black got his stack in preflop against one caller and we were off to the races. Black showed {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} and was against {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

The flop of {7-Clubs}{A-Spades}{8-Diamonds} put Black ahead and jacks on both the turn and river gave him a full house. Black broke into song (we couldn't tell what) after he won the pot and scooped up the 34,000 chips.

The Killer Table Doesn't Get Easier

Table 1
Table 1
Shortly after Greg Raymer busted from what has arguably been the most star-studded table of the day, Eric Liu slipped into his chair.

The cast of characters at Table 1 now includes:

Seat 1: Josh Arieh
Seat 4: Jimmy Fricke
Seat 5: Gavin Smith
Seat 6: Vanessa Rousso
Seat 9: Eric Liu

Level: 10

Blinds: 500/1,000

Ante: 100

Andy Black is in Good Spririts

Andy Black stepped away from his table to stretch his legs and we took the opportunity to ask him how he's doing.

"I've got 72," he said. "I turned 40 into 2 bluffing, and turned 2 into 72. I'm OK."

Mike Gracz Wins a Small Pot

Mikel Gracz
Mikel Gracz
Mike Gracz moved to the same table with Blair Hinkle and Nenad Medic, and didn't waste any time in getting involved.

Gracz raised to 2,600 from middle position and got called by Anh Van Nguyen in the big blind. Both players checked the flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Spades} and Gracz called Nguyen's 5,100 chip bet when the {3-Clubs} fell on the turn. Both players checked the {4-Clubs} on the river, and Nguyen mucked after Gracz turned over {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a pair.

Gracz now has 45,000.

A Fun Conversation

Victor Ramdin and Allen Bari are now at the same table.

After stealing the blinds from Bari, Victor complimented his level of play. "You Internet kids are really something. You're making me take my game to another level to try and keep up."

Bari's response - "I'm not an Internet kid anymore. I'm a live guy. There are too many Swedes on the Internet."
