Grippo Doubles Through Verret

Nick Grippo shoved his stack in with {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} and went racing with Steve Verret who called with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

A flop of {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} put Grippo in front and the {7-Diamonds} on the turn didn't change a thing. The {4-Clubs} on the river gave Grippo quads and a pot worth 254,000. Verret slipped back to 110,000.

Inselberg Attracting the Chips Not the Ladies

After being down to his last 1,500 chips earlier in the day, the remarkable comeback of David Inselberg continues as he just raked in a large, but rather strange pot, without contest.

David Pham opened with a raise to 17,500 from middle position before Hasan Habib made it 55,500 from the button. The action was then with Inselberg, who moved all in over the top for 123,500 in total.

Pham flashed his cards to our reporter, and later told the table that he folded pocket queens, and amazingly Habib also folded to give Inselberg the pot as he moves up to 215,000 chips.

Pham sighed at the fold of Habib and informed him that he had folded queens. Habib's reply was, "That's impossible...I folded pocket queens too!"

Sowers Powers

Fabian Quoss opened with a raise under the gun to 15,000 before Mike Sowers popped it up to 42,500 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Quoss who moved all in with Sowers making the call.

Quoss: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Sowers: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Sowers' kings prevail to double up to 464,000 with Quoss slipping to 480,000.
