Day 2 Concludes; Isaac Baron the Man to Beat
As an interesting twist to the end of the day's proceedings, a mini-verbal war has erupted after it was announced that the players will return at noon tomorrow - less than nine hours from now. Lars Bonding and Thomas Keller were especially unhappy about this scheduling, but they were told that "nothing can be done" and the scheduling is designed for the ESPN live webcast tomorrow.
As the disgruntled players head off to get some sleep, the story of the day is young gun Isaac Baron, who was solid throughout the day before, striking late in the evening with pocket aces to rocket to the overnight chip lead. Baron is a feared online player who has experienced success in the European regions before he was even legal to play in a casino in the US. Tomorrow, he'll have his sights firmly set on tasting his first WSOP bracelet.
He won't have it easy, however, with the likes of Danny Illingworth, David Pham, Mike Sowers, Thomas Keller, David Benefield and Lika Gerasimova still in contention.
We'll have the official counts for you shortly.
Thanks for following our coverage this evening and we hope you'll join us again tomorrow for the exciting conclusion of this event.
