Kicker Problems Leave Baron Crippled

Brian Lemke
Brian Lemke
Isaac Baron opened the action with a raise to 100,000 in middle position and Brian Lemke made the call. The blinds folded and the two players took a heads-up flop of {2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Baron was first to speak and led out for 140,000. Lemke considered his options and decided that raising was the right one, making it 400,000 to play. Baron ruffled his chips as he went into the tank, clearly having a big decision to make. Baron decided to play and moved all in. Lemke snap-called.

Baron: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Lemke: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and the river the {5-Diamonds} and Lemke celebrates with his rail as his queen kicker plays, leaving Baron crippled. Lemke will now be up to a very healthy 2.5 million chips.
