Day 2 Dawns

Hello and welcome back to our continuing coverage of another World Championship event, the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo. Yesterday's action began with 179 hopeful runners duking it out, and a full 50 of them bid farewell by the time the first eight levels were played.

Chris Bjorin surged to the chip lead as the clock ticked down, bagging up 134,400 checks. He just managed to pip Scott Clements, with BigRiskky's stack of 130,800 representing the only near challenger so far. After those top two stacks, it's a big step back to the rest of the field, with everyone else on the underside of 100,000. Those within striking distance of the leaders include Daid Benyamine, Phil Hellmuth, Josh Arieh, and Phil Ivey.

The chip bags are out on the tables, and the players are just beginning to take their seats. We expect to be underway promptly at 2:00pm, so sit tight, we'll be right back with the start of play.
