Lawson Spared from Elimination

On a flop of {6-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}, Ted Lawson put out the first bet. Daniel Negreanu raised it up, and Chau Giang called. Action was back on Lawson, and he three-bet it, getting both opponents to call.

The turn card brought the {Q-Hearts}. Lawson bet out his final 7,000 chips, and both Negreanu and Giang called, putting the short stack all in for his tournament livelihood. The river was the {7-Diamonds}, and it was checked down.

Lawson rolled over {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {3-Clubs} for the nut low, and Negreanu showed {A-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} for two pair. Giang studied his cards and determined that he couldn't compete for either half of the pot, so he returned his cards to the dealer face-down. Negreanu and Lawson take half the pot each, chopping up Giang's money.

Giang - 110,000
Negreanu - 136,000
Lawson - 85,000
