Bjorin Gazes at One Quarter

Bill Gazes opened with a raise, and Chris Bjorin reraised from the cutoff seat. Phil Ivey called in the big blind, and Bill Gazes made the call as well, the extra bet putting him all in.

The board came out {8-Spades} {J-Spades} {5-Spades} {3-Spades} {3-Diamonds}. Ivey bet the flop, and Bjorin called. Both players checked fourth street, and Ivey led back out on the river. When Bjorin put in a raise though, Ivey heard the music and saved himself the extra bet.

Showdown
Bjorin: {A-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}
Gazes: {A-Spades} {2-Spades} {4-Hearts} {9-Hearts}

Gazes took the high half with his nut flush, and he grabbed half of the low pot as well. Bjorin's nut low was only worth one quarter of the pot, sending a hunk of much-needed chips over to Gazes.

Gazes - 38,000
Bjorin - 160,000
Ivey - 55,000
