Day 3 Looms

Welcome back for Day 3 of Event #18, the $10,000 buy-in World Championship of Omaha Hi/Lo.

First, we'd like to again apologize for our internet troubles late last night. We understand the whole world had access to our site, but we were unable to load it from inside the Rio. In any event, the problem seems to be sorted now, and we're ready for the run to the final table.

Chris Bjorin brought the chip lead into Day 2, but he would fall one spot short of the money, bubbling out in 19th place. The chip lead went back and forth all day, with Scott Clements holding that spot much of the day. Sam Khouiss had the lead for a couple levels as well, but the field was lapped by John Monnette as the night wore on. Monnette will start with more than 1.1 million chips and a commanding lead. It's not a runaway by any means though, and with names like Annie Duke, Daniel Negreanu, and Alex Kravchenko in the mix, it's still anyone's game.

The players are still missing in action, hopefully out of bed and headed here for the early start. We'll be underway as close to 12:00 noon as possible, so join us back here in just a few minutes' time!
