McKinley Gets a Quarter Back

Cameron McKinley raised to open the pot from the cutoff seat, and Annie Duke came along from the big blind.

Heads up then, the flop came {10-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {5-Spades}. Duke led out into the pot, and McKinley said, "Let's do it," and pushed all of his chips forward. Annie put in the call, and McKinley nearly tabled his hand before the dealer told him that he still had uncalled chips left behind. On the {8-Hearts} turn, Duke put him in, and McKinley committed his last few thousand chips, all in and at risk.

Showdown
Duke: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {3-Clubs}
McKinley: {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

Both players had turned the nuts with no re-draw. "Chop it up," said Annie, not realizing that she was still alive for the low half of the pot. When the river brought an un-paired low card, she thanked the player for pointing that out, quartering McKinley and leaving him crippled as the very short stack.
