Boyd Can't Get Half

Annie Duke came in with a raise, and both Daniel Alaei and Ben Boyd made the call, Boyd from the small blind.

The flop came out {5-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {8-Clubs}. Boyd and Duke checked, and Alaei put out a bet. Boyd check-raised, Duke folded, and Alaei called the extra bet.

The turn was the {K-Spades}. Boyd fired another bullet, and Alaei raised to 160,000. Boyd called all in for a total of 150,000, and Alaei got a small rebate with Boyd now at risk.

Showdown
Alaei: {A-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {9-Spades}
Boyd: {A-Hearts} {2-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {10-Spades}

Both men were set to chop up the low half, and Alaei was ahead for the high. The river was a {6-Hearts}, a blank as far as Boyd was concerned, and he will only get one quarter of this pot.
