Pirinen Doubles

With all the money going in preflop it would be Petteri Pirinen at risk with his {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} against the Ace-King of chip leader Jeremiah Vinsant.

The flop of {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} would put a virtual lock on the pot for Pirinen, and when the turn and river and fell the {2-Spades} and {3-Spades}, Pirinen would double to 57,000 as Vinsant slips to 97,000.

Fred Berger Eliminated

After a flop of {K-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} David Sands raised to 4,700 from late position and Fred Berger reraised from the cut off to 14,700. Sands put in a fourth raise to 34,700 and Berger moved in for about 10,000 more. Sands called.

They both turned over two very unexpected hands...

David Sands: {K-Spades} {6-Spades}
Fred Berger: {A-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}

The board filled out {K-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} {4-Hearts} eliminating Fred Berger from today's action.

David Sands moves up to 135,000

Frey Crippled Then Eliminated

Kirk Steward insta-called when Hunter Frey pushed all in preflop.

It would be Steward's {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} way out ahead against Frey's {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}, and when the board fell {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} Frey was left crippled.

A few hands later Frey would push his short-stack all the way to the felt and exit the tournament in 52th place.

VanCruchten Crunched

Michael Roche opened from early position to 6,000 before Leon VanCruchten committed his last 6,200 with Roche making the call.

Roche: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
VanCruchten: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

The board of {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts} saw VanCruchten miss his many draws to stay alive and exited the tournament as Roche climbs to 32,000 in chips.
