In the Brasilia Room

Sabyl Cohen-Landrum
Sabyl Cohen-Landrum
Across the hall, play seems to be moving a little slower. Still, there are a few tables getting short, including #173 where Sabyl Cohen-Landrum has 10,500 in three-handed play and #178 where Mike Sexton has 14,300 three-handed.

More Winners

Two more players returning tomorrow are J.C. Alvarado, who won on Table 80 and Jeff Carris who defeated the opposition on Table 9.

Ivey Loses the Coin Flip

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey got his last 3,000 in preflop against John Racener.

Ivey: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Racener: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} put Racener ahead and Ivey couldn't catch up when the {8-Diamonds} and {5-Hearts} fell on the turn and river.

Erick Lindgren has also been eliminated from the tournament.

On the Far Side of the Room

We got to the far side of the room a few minutes ago where we found Victor Ramdin sitting on 18,000 chips in five-handed play.

A couple of tables away, Humberto Brenes has busted while Shannon Elizabeth is down to 3,600 at a seven-handed table.

News from Brasilia

Dennis Phillips
Dennis Phillips
There's a lot of action from across the hall where Sabyl Cohen-Landrum has 7,000 in three-handed play and Nick Binger has 19,500 at a four-handed table.

Also doing well is Dennis Phillips, who has 25,000 in three-handed play.

Winner Winner

Also in the Brasilia Room, we have three players advancing to tomorrow's elimination round. We'll be keeping track of Joe DeNiro, Brian Saltus and Jonathan Jaffe when they start the round of 100 tomorrow.

Table Updates

We have some updates from some of the shorter tables before the break.

At Table 2, we're down to three-handed play with Scott Freeman in the lead with 18,500. Nearby, Theo Tran is also three-handed with a stack of 19,400 while Max Pescatori has 8,000 at his three-handed table. Kiril Gerasimov is also three handed with a stack of 24,000.
