Three of the current heads-up battles going on around the room involve some better known players.

At Table 176, Dennis Phillips and his opponent are both about equally stacked, with approximately 20,000 chips each. In more comfortable situations are Theo Tran, who has a 3-1 chip lead over his opponent at Table 23 and Jared Hamby has a 5-1 chip lead over his opponent at Table 83.

Alan Smurfit has also just gotten to heads-up play with a stack of about 17,000.

Short Handed Updates

While many tables are now heads up, there are plenty of others around the room with three or more players remaining.

At Table 170, Mike Sowers is somewhat short stacked at 9,500 in three-handed play while Victor Ramdin is sitting comfortably with 18,200 at a four-handed table. Also comfortable is David Pham with a stack of 14,300 in three-handed play.

Smurfit Takes the Chip Lead
