Margolis Takes On Somerville

Andrew Margolis
Andrew Margolis
First in from the button, Andrew Margolis put in a raise to 20,000. Two seats over in the big blind, Jason Somerville re-raised to 63,000, and Margolis came along.

The flop brought {4-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}, and Somerville fired out a continuation bet of 80,000 chips. Margolis took his time before making the call.

Fourth street was the {K-Hearts}. Somerville kept the pressure on with another bullet, this time stacking out 130,000 chips in front of him. Margolis again thought very carefully before making the call.

The last card off the deck was the {10-Spades}. Action was on Somerville for a long time as he alternated his glare between the board, his own chip stack, and that of his opponent. After a long delay, he tapped the felt. Margolis now took the opportunity to bet, firing 275,000 chips into the pot. Somerville asked how much Margolis had behind him, and when he was content with the answer, he surrendered his hand, letting the biggest pot so far go over to Andrew Margolis.
