Andrew Margolis Eliminated in 3rd Place ($124,158)

Andrew Margolis - 3rd Place
Andrew Margolis - 3rd Place
On the button, Jeffrey Carris raised to 80,000, and Andrew Margolis moved all in from the small blind. When Jason Somerville folded, Carris instantly made the call to put Margolis at risk.

Showdown
Carris: {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}
Margolis: {K-Spades} {8-Spades}

The crowd above the stage came to life with boisterous calls for an "Ace, ace, ace!" They quieted down a little as the flop was dry, coming {2-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {3-Hearts} to keep Carris in the lead. They turn was very wet indeed though, as the pleas from the rail were answered with the {A-Spades}. Margolis was drawing dead to the {10-Hearts} on the river, and he has been cut down in 3rd place.

Margolis showed outstanding perseverance during this event, with both of his previous tables running deep into the night. He would hold the chip lead for a fleeting few moments at one point today, but he was unable to close it out against this stingy competition. Still, the nearly $125,000 he's about to collect should help ease the pain a bit.
